Madagascar faces significant challenges in protecting its rich biodiversity due to illegal activities, weak enforcement of environmental laws, and corruption. Many communities lack awareness of their legal rights and the regulations governing natural resource exploitation, making them vulnerable to exploitation. Talily was created to bridge this gap by making legal information easily accessible, understandable, and actionable.
Talily is an advanced legal empowerment platform meticulously designed to dismantle barriers to legal knowledge in Madagascar. Built with a deep understanding of legal complexities, Talily ensures that citizens, journalists, and organizations have seamless access to the nation’s legal framework. This multilingual platform, accessible both online and offline, transforms intricate legal jargon into practical, easy-to-understand insights, equipping users to navigate and challenge corruption effectively. By integrating cutting-edge digital solutions, Talily acts as a catalyst for transparency, accountability, and systemic reform, making it an indispensable tool in the fight for environmental justice and governance integrity.

Talily is already transforming legal accessibility and community engagement, empowering individuals with the tools to challenge corruption and demand accountability in natural resource management. By democratizing access to legal knowledge, Talily enables citizens to report illegal activities, understand their rights, and advocate for stronger governance. This is not just about information—it is about driving real change and ensuring that laws are not just written but enforced.
Talily’s impact extends beyond knowledge dissemination—it strengthens the legal ecosystem by connecting local communities with legal professionals and policymakers. Through its platform, marginalized groups gain a voice in decision-making, fostering a culture of active civic participation. The platform also enhances legal monitoring and enforcement, making corruption more difficult to conceal and strengthening the mechanisms that hold wrongdoers accountable.

Participating in the Hackathon for Legal Literacy, organized by Alliance Voahary Gasy as part of the CCWT, allowed me to explore the intersection of technology and environmental justice. Talily reinforced my problem-solving abilities, as I had to design a solution that combats corruption in natural resource management. This experience deepened my understanding of legal tech and demonstrated how digital tools can enhance transparency and governance in critical sectors.
